"Alex's program has developed my son into one of our leagues top strikes thrower at 10 years old. In just one Rocket Arm Session he has increased velocity, accuracy, and consistency. Thanks Coach Alex!"

- Mike A.

Alex is the head of the Golden Spikes pitching program and was once one of the most highly recruited high school players in the Sacramento region.

Ranked in 1999 by Baseball America as the 49th best high school prospect in the nation, he earned an All-League Honorable Mention as a pitcher for Sac City in 2002 with multiple scholarship offers until arm injuries cut short his playing career. Having experienced arm problems of his own, Alex turned to coaching and became a student of pitching mechanics.

During the course of his coaching career path, he discovered the teachings of pitching coach Ron Wolforth. Wolforth runs one of the most famous and cutting-edge pitching academies in America, The Ranch. Wolforth, who has been featured in national magazines, says that he can help "any kid throw 90 mph." Studying at Wolforth's famous baseball ranch in Texas, Creel has taken Wolforth's principals of emphasizing arm health and pitching mechanics and created his own dynamic pitching program that extends Wolforth's teachings.

Creel has spent more than 3,000 hours of instruction helping kids of all ages improve velocity, location, and, most importantly, arm health. His exclusive pitching program helped five pitchers break the 90 MPH barrier, and four of them were drafted in the 2010 Baseball Draft. He has become one of the preeminent experts on pitching mechanics, arm health and enhanced velocity in Northern California.

Alex's coaching career began in 2006 at El Camino High School and he joined Hard 90 Baseball Academy as a pitching instructor one year later, where he worked with his current Golden Spikes partner Coach Bret Hemphill.

Coach Creel conducts private pitching lessons and group classes. He also manages the Golden Spikes Toreros 10U.                                                                                                                                                                                                "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently."                                                                                                        - Henry Ford
